About On Call Pastor
Alex Buckler's Experience
I have over 15 years of experience in ministry leadership, including both pastoring congregations and developing young ministers. Combined with 7 years of education in the fields of theology, therapy, teaching, coaching, & counseling; I observed 2 groups whose needs for healing, encouragement, & mentorship require attention: the next generation of Christians & ministers.
Our Perspective
A recent Barna study found 84% of pastors believe their priority to help their community is to preach, while half of all US adults polled said their primary need from the church is care and counseling. More studies go on to say the key factors for both maintaining faith in your twenties, and ministers retaining their resiliency through their vocation are mentorship & friendship.
